The name for AMARANTHINE is rooted in the Greek word amarantos, meaning everlasting. So, it follows that this print is an eternally elegant damask, drawn from the archives of the renowned silk weaving mill, Gainsborough. Now given our signature psychedelic touch with a shadow effect, the motif is printed in Britain on sumptuous Verdigris green velvet designed to reign over decadent full-length curtains or a reupholstered antique seat.

Each metre sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.
